Kim - Supervisor Rainbow Room 

Hi my name is Kim and I am the supervisor in the Rainbow room.

I have a Bachelor degree in early childhood education and my full teaching certificate.

I moved to New Zealand from the States in 2003 where I now live with my husband, son and two dogs.

I have been working in early childhood settings for over 10 years and enjoy watching the children achieve their goals and become life long learners.

Kia Ora my name is Amy, I am teaching in the four year old Rainbow rooom at Rutland St.

I am currently in my second year of study at New Zealand Tertiary College studying towards a Bachelor degree in early childhood education.

I love working with children finding their strengths and working on their challanges and then watching them grow into confident young learners.

Hi My name is Bex,

My journey with Kidz world began when my daughter attended this centre approximately 3 years ago.

Though I originally started out as a parent my passion for early childhood education and love of children soon lead me to eagerly embrace a career change and become a member of the Kidz World team.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to not only to learn along side the children but to also reflect on my role as a teacher.

As an early childhood teacher I am committed to gain as much knowledge about children as I can, therefore will continue to study children and their development throughout my career.

It is my belief that children develop into confident and healthy young learners through love and security and that my role in their ongoing development ia a fundamentally important one.

As an early childhood teacher I believe that children should feel safe and comfortable within the early childhood setting.

I am 30 years old and have a family of three children, Darius 7, Sebastian 6 and Hoani 1. I have worked at Kidz world for two years now and started studying to reach my Bachelor of Teaching in early childhood.

I enjoy working with all age groups and finding new things about the development of children and teaching technique's to help children reach the best possible future for themselves.

My name is Jodi Burrett and I work in the young explorer room.

I live in Ngongotaha with my partner and our four year old son Cameron.

I started at Kidz World in February 2010, I am in my third year of training towards my Diploma in early childhood education.

I have a Diploma in early childhood education and full registration, I am now working towards a Bachelor of special education.

Hi my name is Sally Binks, I moved to new zealand 8 years ago from the U.K.  I have worked in the Early Childhood sector for 6 years. I am currently studying for my Early Childhood Diploma and am a second year student at Te Tari Puna Ora o Aotearoa.  I have three children of my own, Claudia16, Cameron 14 and Charlie 11.  I am currently working in the baby area at Kidz World which I love.

Hi my name is Jan Rowland, I am a teacher in the toddler room at Rutland
street. 

I have been involved in early childhood for over 13 years and am now a qualified teacher. 

I have also spent alot of time with special needs children whom I care for at my home in the holidays and weekends. I have three beautiful children and two awesome grandchildren.

I really enjoy working with our great team here at rutland street who are focused on providing a fun, safe learning

Rebecca McAllister - Young Explorers

Hi my name is Rebecca McAllister, I am a second year student studying diploma of teahing (ECE) with the open polytechnic of new zealand by distance learning.
 
My interest in early childhood teaching stems from my mother who also has an early childhood background.  In my highschool years I spent time before, after school and many weekends at the daycare she operated. 

Since leaving school, I have worked as either a full time or relief teacher.  I'm looking forward to
extending not only the children's knowledge but also my own as I continue my journey in this ever changing fun and dynamic industry.
